Itinerary

FULL DAY: TOUR AL PUENTE INCA QESWACHAKA EN CUSCO (El ultimo puente inca de Q´eswachaka)

Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco, we will travel towards the south along the road that leads to the province of Canas, during the journey we will observe the lagoon of Pomacanchi – the enigmatic lagoon of Urcos, where the stories are told, the last Inca ordered to carry all the gold of the Empire so that it is not plundered by the Spanish and the laguna de Yanaoca, where we will visit a volcano something tiny and the open of the same name.

The last Inca bridge suffers from the deterioration of their material (straw) because of the inclemensias of the climate of the sierra, so it requires annual maintenance consisting of a reconstruction total.

Construction
The reconstruction is in charge of the farming communities of Perccaro, Huinchi and Qqewe. The dimension of the bridge is 33 m. long and 1.20 m. wide, the material used is only the straw (Ichu) braided heights of the region, "Puna".

In the afternoon return to Cusco, but the way we have a surprise, at the height of the community of Hampatura there are the impressive caves of Ccarañahui or Q arañahui that is located to 3,900 meters above sea level.

This is a fantastic cavern of material in sedimentary marine, its chemical composition is calcium hypochlorite, which by the constant drip-drip resulted in the formation of impressive stalagmites and stalactites, that oddly acquired forms of puma, and condor, the grotto is thousands of years old and in the background we can see a mysterious lagoon, legend has it that the Incas came to the grotto to communicate spiritually with their Gods.

Finalmente retornaremos al Cusco en nuestro carro privado, finalizando de esta forma nuestro «tour al puente Qeswachaka«.
